Birthday Girl

Happy Birthday Jane!
This is Jane now and this was Jane when she was a baby. She was the cutest thing ever. We had so much fun with her. She was a great baby and got spoiled rotten. She had such chubby cheeks and I always had her decked out.
Now, she has gotten a mind of her own and likes to dress herself in jeans and a t-shirt, or basketball shorts or sweats. She loves to help Adam work and loves being outside. She is so much fun and we love having her in our family. I love how she is growing up and getting more independent and learning so much. We are excited for her to start school and make new friends!

We started the day out with a fun visit from Chloe, Katie, and Sadie. They are always so much fun and brought Jane a really fun I Spy game. She had gotten really good at it already. Then we headed off to pick up Trevor (her friend from preschool) and hit McDonald's for lunch. Jane, Trevor, and Ike had so much fun playing in the playland. It was so fun for them. We then hit old Jack & Jill's for a little bowling fun. It was a blast. For Jane's birthday the Bowling Ally gave Jane her own Pin with Happy Birthday on it and a marker for her friends to sign the pin. She was so excited about it and just might be her favorite gift!

Later that night the Rudy family came over and we headed to the Legacy Pool. The kids LOVED it and we had so much fun. I didn't get to many pictures because we all were having too much fun, plus I don't like to get out of the pool once I'm in and warm.
We then went home for rootbeer floats and the Rudy's even got to sleep over!
On Saturday, Grandma & Grandpa Shelton came

over to spend the day with us. Jane had so much fun, that she ended up getting sick! Real nice. I forgot to mention that even before her birthday on Friday, Grandpa and Grandma O took her out to dinner and a movie and then shopping for her birthday gift. So thanks to everyone for spoiling Jane and making her birthday such a great one! We love you Jane! Happy 5th Birthday!

Birthday Poster

So tomorrow is Jane's big day. She is turning 5 and is pretty excited about the whole thing. She got to celebrate her birthday today at preschool. They sent home this poster that we put pictures on and decorated and then she took it to class and told all the kids about it. She wanted me to come along and help her. It was really cute. Then they sang Happy Birthday to her and she got to wear a birthday crown. She brought the kids a birthday treat, rice krispy treats, not homemade, her choice. (I'm not complaining) She was really excited and I am so proud of her. Miss Shawna said that Jane was so fun to have in preschool and that she is always really nice to everyone. That made me so happy, we are working on being nice to everyone all the time at home and sometimes that is a little difficult for Jane, but we are trying. She is such a blessing in our family and I love her to pieces. She is just growing up so much and I am so excited about it. I am excited for this new adventure in our lives and we are all ready to move to it. I love you and I will post more tomorrow on her birthday. She's got big plans!!

On the poster is has her name, Jane Elizabeth Olson. Then she is 5 years old, her favorite color is green, her favorite animal is a cat, and her favorite food is pizza. We have a picture of her, then a picture of the family, her favorite place to be is at The Muddy camping, she wants to be a mom when she grows up, her favorite thing to do is ride her bike (without training wheels), and if she had one wish, she would wish for a candy house.
It was a lot of fun to help her make this.

Library Fieldtrip

Today Jane had a field trip with her preschool. We got to go to the Pleasant Grove library. It is always so fun to see how she interacts with the other kids in her preschool. Of course she was glued to Trevor most of the time, but has also gotten to really like Jarrett. I guess from what she tells us, he is a little bit of a class clown. I took Ike and Cal on this field trip and they really seemed to enjoy it. Ike thought he was big stuff going to preschool with Jane. It was really cute to see him follow his big sis around.

Ike enjoying the stories.

Cal really excited to be part of the fun.

All the kids in her class.

Learning how to check out books.

Jane and Jarrett

I am such a proud mom, by the way. Yesterday I registered Jane for kindergarten. It was so much fun for me. Last night I went through a little packet they gave us and told her about what she would be doing and what she was going to be learning. I was so proud at what she has already learned. It is going to be so fun to see her going to kindergarten. I am so happy and excited for her. I can't believe she is going to be 5 already, but I am ready for it! She is such a sweet little thing, most of the time!

Cal 15 months

From this.....

To this......

eating spoonfuls of sour cream, yuck!

getting in to the computer, naughty naughty...

he thinks he is sneaking the Oreo's.....

He is out of control. In to everything and all over the place. He is so darn cute it's hard to get mad at him, but he sure does test the patience. He is now 15 months old and we haven't yet made it into the Dr. yet, but I'll update his stats later. I love Cal so much and he has been such a blessing to our family. I love his smile, how he is always so happy, how he tries to do everything Jane and Ike do. At 15 months he has about 12 teeth, and eats everything. He has such a good appitite. He says a few words and is really understanding instructions. I love how when he knows we are leaving he gets my shoes and his shoes and then backs up and sits on my lap for me to put them on him. He is a little bit of a mamma's boy, but I don't mind that at all. He loves his dad and has really gotten a bond with grandpa shelton. When I am there he is all about grandpa (cause he lets him get away with anything and everything). He is really growing up and it has been so much fun having him in our lives. We love you Cal!

Tool Belts

Cal

Ike & his tool belt
He was so cute. He wanted his pencil to put behind his ear, but it was too big. I was wondering why he wanted to do this, but then I say on Handy Manny that Manny has a pencil behind his ear. How funny!

Jane & her tool belt. She has really been in to organizing it and getting everything in it right perfect place, just like her dad.

The kids got to finally get their tool belts. They have been working hard to earn money to get them. They were so excited about them and even more excited that they earned them.

A Wedding & Rock Band

Aaron & Amy Britton
(This was at the dinner that night. They had a major photo shoot at the temple and then they went downtown to do more. They were sick of pictures.)

Adam loves Rock Band and isn't too bad at it. He gets so into it. We love it. He makes it so much fun.

Jammin' out

Really getting in to it!

Amy and Aaron were married on Saturday February 7, 2008. I got the privilege of doing her hair and she looked amazing. She is a beautiful bride. Aaron looked great as well. The ceremony was so good and it was fun to have all the family there. Later that night we had a dinner at the Alpine Country Club with Aaron's family and our family. It was small, great food, and fun. After the dinner we went back to The Olson's and rocked it on Rock Band. It was a blast.
Congratulations! We love you.

Best Friends

I just had some really cute pictures of Jane and one of her best friends, Ellie. We had Ellie over the other day and she is such a crack up. She has such an imagination and she and Jane come up with the best games.
Here they are dressed up in diapers, who knows why or what they are doing.

Ellie, Zoe, Ike, & Jane
summer 2008
We always go on fun outings with the Briems. I love Myken and it is always so much fun with her and her girls. It's great to have such a fun neighbor right next store.

Ellie is the neighbor with all the animals. She is always getting a bunny at Easter or some fun animal. We love it because we can enjoy them and not have to worry about feeding them and taking care of them. Thanks guys! :)

Ellie came over the day and we made cookies. It was a mess, but they loved it.
Ellie said the funniest thing to Jane when she came over. She was in our family room and said:
Ellie: Jane don't you think it's kinda sad your dad kills all those animals?
(we have a deer mounted in our family room)
Jane: .....I guess.
Another time Adam took Jane, Ellie, & Ike sledding down the big hill by our house. On the way home Ellie said to Adam:
Ellie: You sure are gone a lot.
Adam: I know I work a lot.
Ellie: No, I think you hunt to much.
Thanks for being honest with us Ellie. We love you and love having you next store!
