CHRISTMAS DAY!

Pure Excitement!

Still a little sleepy!

Don't show too much excitement!

Doin' a little jig! He was so funny!

He got his tiny gun and pocket. He shot us all afternoon.

She was excited about her American Girl Doll!

Ike got a really cool pirate ship. It had the worst instructions and so many little parts, but has been a huge hit!

Cal got a superhero cape and loved it! It was such a fun Christmas this year with all our little ones. We just hung out at home all day long. Grandpa and Grandma O and Zach and Joe came down for breakfast in the morning and hung out for a while and then we just hung out as a family and really enjoyed the day. Now comes the waiting game for our baby! We are so excited!

ChRiStMaS EvE!

Ike, Sawyer, Sadie, Jane, Chloe, Logan, and Cal

We had such a fun Christmas this year. We spent Christmas Eve at Grandpa and Grandma O's. The kids all got darling pj's and we had a delicious breakfast for dinner. It's always fun with the in-laws.

Ike and his best little buddy, Sawyer! I hope Ike is as good to our baby as he is with Sawyer. My boys love Sawyer and he loves them in return.

Grandma and Grandpa O with all the grandkids.

Our little family. We are so ready to have our new baby in our home. We are counting down the days! We are hoping it comes VERY soon!

Adam read the kids 'Twas the Night Before Christmas'. They loved it.

We got to open all our gifts from grandma and grandpa and each other! We loved it and of course we all got spoiled rotten! Thanks so much everyone!

It was such a fun night! I wish I was better at taking pictures, but at least I got a few. (thanks Amy)!

Santa's Cutie!

Cal's Christmas outfit still fit from last year and I couldn't resist a picture. He was so proud wearing it and wanted to wear it all day long. I'll have to wait until next Sunday to get pictures of all three, but he was willing so I had to snap one! He is so much fun! I love my kids!

Shelton Christmas Party!

We had our annual Shelton Christmas Party on Saturday and it was so much fun. We decided to have it at Spencer and Brittany's house this year, because Shunae and I are so close to having babies and you can never trust the weather in Wyoming. We had so much fun. We had an ugly sweater contest, opened lots of gifts, ate yummy food, and played games. I love my family so much and wish we all lived close so we could see each other more often. It's always wild, but fun!
Jane and I had so much fun making Adam and I's ugly sweater! Adam was going to go as cousin Eddie, but felt bad cause Jane had worked so hard on his sweater! I actually won the Best Overall Ugly Sweater. Adam won Best Christmas Spirit Sweater, Travis won Cheesiest Sweater, and Shunae won fluffiest!

Shunae, Travis, and Jada in their ugly sweaters! I'm lovin' Travis' turtleneck, you can't see, but Nae had embellished the sweaters with some cute Christmas Kittens! So funny!

Grandpa and Grandma Shelton in their ugly sweaters!

Aaron and Bonnie in their ugly sweaters! I actually thought Bonnie's was quite cute!

Spencer, Britt, and Wyatt in their ugly sweaters!

Shunae and I am both due with babies about 3 weeks apart. She is actually due on December 24th, but is being induced on the 20th. I am due on the 15th of January, but hopefully will come in a week or two. We had to take the famous belly pictures!
9 month bellies!

Grandpa wins the biggest belly award I'm afraid :)

Grandpa and Grandma Shelton always go all out on the Christmas gifts and this year was no different. Ike and Cal and really enjoying their race car track. It has been hours of entertainment! Thanks for all the fun times family! We love you!

Jane's X-Mas Program from Julie Olson on Vimeo.

Jane had her school Christmas Sing today and did such a great job. She had a performance in the morning and the afternoon and both times I had crappy seats. So you can barely see her in the video, but she was singing her heart out and was darling!

Santa Claus is coming...........

TO CABELAS! We sent to see Santa Claus at cabelas with Grandma O, Amy, and Sawyer. It was worth the hour wait in line. Cal loved Santa and ran right up to him to give him a hug and tell him that he wanted a tiny gun, a tiny knife, and a big sword! It was so fun. Ike was at work with dad so missed out on the fun and Jane didn't want to sit on Santa's lap!

He has been a good little boy!

SLEDDING FUN!

I know I've said it a thousand times, but I am so lucky to have married such a wonderful man! Adam got up and took the kids sledding the other morning. They had a blast. Then Adam and Jane spent the rest of the morning snowblowing the entire neighborhoods driveways. They had so much fun! Pearl even got in on the fun. She is such a fun dog and we love her to death!

StoryTelling Festival

Jane's Silly Tilly from Julie Olson on Vimeo.

Jane's school has a big event that is a storytelling contest. The kids have to tell a story in their own words, memorized. When Jane told me about it I asked her if it was something she would want to do, and she said no, then a few days later came home so excited to do it. I have to admit that I didn't really want her to do it. I was nervous and afraid for her and worried about the disappointment if she didn't succeed. Then I got over it. Grandma Marcia was a ton of help and helped Jane find a story, make a poster, and condense the book so she could memorize it. Jane did such an amazing job. She had actions and everything and practiced and practiced. The day came when she had to tell the story in front of her class. The boys and I got to go watch. She was the second person to tell her story and was very nervous. She did a really good job though and I was super proud of her. The teachers then picked one child to compete in front of the school. Jane came home a little sad because she didn't win, but I was just so glad that she actually did it!

O Christmas Tree O Christmas Tree..................

We put up our Christmas Tree the first of December. After we put it up I was thinking it was super boring and all the same color. I had forgotten all of the ornaments. The kids loved it and it was a fun family activity!

I think it turned out cute! We are so ready for Christmas at our house. Then we will have a new baby! We are really looking forward to the fun holidays and all the family fun!

Gingerbread House Fun!

For the past few years we have made it a tradition to build a gingerbread house. I love the ones from Costco, and this year was even better because the house was already put together so we just got to decorate. I have decided that I just need to be a lot more patient and just let my kids do things. They loved it and were so creative and worked together. I was just there to manage the mess and fun!

Ike wanted a picture of him pretending to eat it! We left the house on the table and for the next few days more and more candy was missing from it. I finally had to move it up high so they'd stop sneaking the candy from the house! No one would fess up to eating it though :)

I think it turned out darling! Great job kiddos!

Jane's Thanksgiving Play

Today Jane had her Thanksgiving Read along play. She did such a good job. I don't know why I didn't get one picture of her smiling though. It was so funny because the night before she said, Jane: "I sure wish I would have raised my hand to be Squanto." I laughed a little, then she said, "what Squanto is an Indian and can be a girl, plus I wouldn't have to wear the stupid pilgrim hat." Me: I bet you look so cute in the pilgrim hat. Jane: " It's a dumb bonnet." I hate it."
What a girl!

Toothless.........

The day has finally come, Jane has lost not only her first tooth, but her second tooth as well. I couldn't believe it. She lost her first one on Friday out in Wyoming with some coaching from Haylee and then on Tuesday morning we pulled out the other one before school. She looks so cute. She now has the cutest little smile with missing teeth. It's so fun!

First tooth gone!

Tooth #2!
