First Day of School

First day of 3rd grade at a new school.  He was super excited and needed a haircut.  We are starting year round school.  We start earlier in the summer but get breaks throughout the year.  Ike is super smart and such a great student and friend.  He has Mrs. Martin and I know will make lots of friends this year!

I seriously can't believe that this girl is going into 5th grade.  Look out Mr. Patrick.  Another year with a male teacher.  3rd year in a row.  Hopefully it's as good as last year!

Calin is in 1st grade.  He can't believe he has to go ALL day long.  He said, "it's going to be a long one."  He has Mrs. Nelson this year!

One of my favorite times of the day!  Walking home from school!

Waylon loves meeting the kids on the road home!  He loves walking Pearl to get the kids!

New Kittens

We moved in to our new house with a barn and field and needed a few mousers.  Our cat that we have had for years, ran away when we moved.  We are so sad and hoping she will show up one day!
But in the mean time we got two new kittens.  Batman and Robin!  They are the best kittens ever.  They are super lovable and the kids love them.  They get plenty of love all day everyday!

Parades

Adam got asked from our Stake to ride the stake float for a couple of parades.  One being the days of 47 parade!  He had a little cheering crowd!

 Adam was Porter Rockwell!

I didn't attempt the days of 47 parade.  I dropped him off downtown at 6:30 am came home and watched him on tv and then went back to get him at like 1pm.  It was a long day for him, but he did such a great job!

Muddy Trip

One of our annual trips to The Muddy!  We love when we get to go with cousins.  The mule is always a hit at the muddy!  The kids always want to ride on it!

The kids got new bow and arrows from dad and spent many days shooting and practicing!

Ike loves the muddy and every night lays out his clothes for the next day!

The kids wanted to sleep by themselves in their own bunk house!

 Hanging out on the pavilion!

These two had a blast together.  Filling up the dump trucks and dumping!

The double seated outhouse is always a hit!

Our favorite place for a horse ride!

Ike killed a chipmunk with his bow and arrow.  He was so excited!  It was so fun to see how happy and excited he was to get it all by himself!

Jane of course, was little upset she didn't get the first kill, so grandpa took her out on her own hunt.  She came back with not 1 chipmunk, but 4!

We had a super scary experience with Ike and the horses.  We went on a horse ride around the property that grandma and grandpa had made.  Then we went out of the property and rode for a couple more hours.  We had Chloe and Sadie with us and then our kids, me and Adam, and Kim and Bobette.  We decided to put Ike on Zach's horse, that was doing awesome and Ike was doing so well controlling him, but wasn't the best decision.  When we got back through the gate of the property, Ike's horse wanted to head for home.  Ike got him to stop once and then let up for a second and then his horse took off on a DEAD RUN!  Ike was holding on for his life.  All the horses started running and Grandpa took off after Ike.  Chloe and Calin's horses also took off, but not anything like Ike's and they were fine.  When we reached Ike he was laying on the ground just coming too.  He had falling off when the horse turned and fell off.  He was laying on the ground and asked, Was that a dream?  It was so scary.  I thought he had for sure had a concussion and broken bones, but he was fine.  We watched him for hours and he was fine.  Just a little road rash on his face and arms.  He was so brave and we are so thankful he was okay!

Calin needed a turn for a kill.  We hunted chipmunks for hours and made many shots and finally he scored!

 A little shooting range fun!

The kids wanted to explore and be on their own.  They built a tipi!  They played for hours building it and having fun!

Always gotta have a fire at the Muddy!

After Ike's scary experience on the horse, we wanted to make sure he wasn't scared to ride anymore so the next day we put him on Linda, a different horse and he did awesome!

 Family Photo!

We had so much fun with Aunt Katie, Chloe, Sadie and Logan.  It was such a fun trip at the muddy!
