More Zoo Fun!

We got the chance to head to the zoo again this Friday with my darling nieces, Chloe and Sadie, and sister in-law, Katie. It was a lot of fun and the kids really enjoyed it. The weather was nice, but the zoo was so crowded! What's the deal?!

Jane and Chloe enjoying the train.

Me and my boys!

Again, we enjoyed the playground.

The girls!

My Ike!

Jane, the turtle.

We were cracking up at this picture. Chloe and Ike were more interested in the gorilla's body then the picture taking. Hilarious!

We love the zoo! Thanks for coming with us girls!

1st accident

So, I have made it through 3 kids and I just got my first experience with rushing to the doctor. I tried to get a picture, but they turned out awful. But, Cal was chasing me around my bedroom and fell and hit his head on my dress. He split open his forehead right above the eyebrow. It was pretty deep and split right open, with quite a bit of blood. Thank heavens my mom was hear staying with me. I called the doctors office and they told me they couldn't get him in for stitches for 2 hours, I ran over to Myken's and they helped me put on a butterfly band aid and I decided to take him in somewhere to be stitched. I came back home and the doctor had called back and told me to bring him right in. We rushed to the office, which is really close, lucky for me, and they got him right in. Dr. Arnold was amazing with him. He decided to just super glue it together, because it was such a clean split and because Cal would probably pull out the stitches. It was tramatic for him and me, but we made it through. He has a nice bump on the head and losts of super glue in his eyebrow! Thank heavens it wasn't more serious. Love you Cal! Poor thing!

Happy Father's Day!

I am such a proud mom! Jane was asked to talk in sacrement Sunday for Father's Day. She did such a great job. It was really cute, because she wrote her own talk and then we made a book and put pictures in it so that she could just stand up there alone and say her talk. I recorded her practicing so that you could all enjoy it. I was a mess during her talk. I was so proud and just sobbed. I think Adam was just as proud. It was a good parent moment.

Happy Father's Day! I have such great men in my life that I love dearly. Adam is such a wonderful husband and father. I am lucky to have him in my life. My dad is amazing. He is such an example to me and my family and we love him so much. We got to spend some time with him on Saturday night. I love my father in-law, Kim so much. He is such a character and one of kind. We didn't get to spend time with him, but I hope he knows how much I love him and appreciate him. He is such a great person and we have so much fun with him. We love all you dad's! Happy Father's Day 2009!

The Amazing Race

Adam and I went out to Wyoming Saturday night and had a great time. Heidi, my friend, put together the amazing race couples in Lyman Wyoming. We had such a fun time. She is so dang creative and really went to a lot of work for it. There were about 11 couples that played and we had to figure out the clues and follow the map to different locations all over town and then do different challenges at each pit stop. It was fun. We had to find people's headstones at the cemetery, pass a ball to each other the length of a football field or kick a field goal, dig in the sand to find a dinosaur, learn a clogging routine or pick up 2 buckets of rocks, do service at the Fort, draw a picture with sidewalk chalk or ride a kids toy around a track for 4 laps, find certain things at the grocery store and the prices of each, and then the last was at a park where you had to chip a golf ball in to a small pool thing. Adam and I took 2nd place over all and won ourselves an awesome stationary bike (like 50 years old). It was so much fun and I think it would be a blast to put one together. Thanks so much Heidi!

The Zoo with the Briems

Finally, it warmed up enough to head to the zoo. Everyone thought the same thing, because it was packed. I went with our neighbor and friend, Myken and her two sisters, and then another friend, Jenell. We had such a fun time. The kids loved it and it was nice to get out and enjoy the warm weather. When we first got to the zoo this peacock was cool. It was a great start for the zoo experience.

Darling Zoe!

Jane with the big elephant that she thinks is so funny when it make the funny noises.

This is the crocodiles, the kids really liked the crocs. They were swimming around a little bit.

We always love the giraffes!

My personal favorite was this monkey, who had wrapped himself up in this blanket and was napping. We loved it.

Ellie, Jane, and Maddie on the train ride.

Ike was really looking forward to the train ride. He loved it, but I don't remember it being so short. He was a little bummed it got over so fast.

I've never ventured to the playground at the zoo, the kids loved it.
Cal was so cute. He just thinks he is one of the big kids.

Strawberry Days Rodeo

We went to the rodeo with our kids last week and had a great time. We met up with Amy and Aaron and then our friends Chet and Tiff and their kids. I didn't get very many pictures, because I was wrestling the kids the entire time. Jane liked it, Ike was tired and got bored after the opening ceremony with the flags, and Cal was scared of the bucking horses and would scream and cry when they started bucking. It was sad, but at the same time so funny. I think it was a little long for the kids, but it was fun. I love rodeo's so I think the next time we should go without kids.

Look How Much I've Grown!

Jane got her kindergarten shots on Tuesday. She was kind of excited. She knew it was going to hurt, but she was excited that it was one step closer to getting in to kindergarten. I just love her doctor and the whole atmosphere of the office. They have a kindergarten day there, where you get to go and the kids that are going in to kindergarten are treated really special. She got to color and decorate her growth chart, she got prizes, and a big M&M cookie and milk. The Dr. was great with her and she did great. She even got her picture taken with Dr. Spencer, I wish I could scan it in. Her legs have been a little sore from the shots, but over all she has been a trooper. She is just our little peanut. Here's her stats:

Jane
5 years Old
Weight: 31.6 lbs.
Height: 39 1/4 " tall
Eyes: 20/20
Blood: Great
Pee: Perfect (she thought it was pretty cool peeing in a cup)

I can't wait for school to start. Jane is so ready and so excited. It will be great for her. She is really a bright kid (I know, I'm the mom), and ready to learn. I love how determined she is on everything she does. She is such a little athlete (she rode her bike up Mary Pully's hill) and loves anything outdoors. She isn't really a girly girl, but that's alright. She loves to work and is such a little helper. I don't know what life would be without her. She is so darling and I love her to death.

We got to take our kids to the Temple Open House. They all really enjoyed it. They were great and thought the mirrors in the sealing room was the best. It was a great teaching moment! Our kids are so good and I love them to death! I am glad I get to be with them for eternity!

Birthday Bash!

Adam wanted to just stick home with the kids for this birthday. He is kinda a birthday bum. He doesn't get that excited about them, unlike me. I like birthday's! The kids and I made him a candy gram!

We had dinner and I made him a yellow cake, white frosting, and strawberries. I think he liked it!

Happy Birthday Adam! We love you tons!

I finally got Ike in for his 3 year check up. He was so brave and so friendly with the Doctor. He is really healthy and growing so much. He now weighs in at 31 lbs. and is 37" tall. He is so much fun and I couldn't image life without him. He makes our house lots of fun. Ike has such a tender heart. He is always willing to snuggle and give out lots of hugs. He is such a good big brother to Cal and has really taken him under his wing. He is always calling him, his buddy. Ike has such an imagination and loves to play with the trucks and cars. He is really pretty good a sharing and wants everyone to be happy. Ike is full of energy all the time. He goes all day long nonstop.

Amy is so great with photography. She took this darling pictures of Ike and the kids and really captured each of their personalities.

We love you Ike!
