FHE

I'm not sure what the lesson we taught our kids this past Monday for Family Home Evening, but we had a fun activity. We finally got Adam to shave his beard off. He has had it since March of this year and it was due to come off. Adam loves his beard, but we were all sick of him being called.....Fred Buehler, a uni-bomber, a bum, a terrorist, a much older man married to a younger woman, and many other names. Adam doesn't mind and I guess I just have gotten used to it.
Adam grew a beard when we were dating just to make sure I was okay with it for when we got married. I don't know why I let him do it, but it makes him happy and I really don't care.

We were actually all a little sad when it was gone and every morning Ike would wake up and say, "did dad's beard grow back yet?" Jane was a little sad and wouldn't take part in shaving it off. She didn't want him to do it and Cal was just happy to be there. He is now more then willing to give dad huge hugs and kisses!

The Before......

Really diggin' this look!

Adam was such a good sport to let the kids all have a turn shaving and cutting.

The after..... isn't he so handsome! I am so in love with this man! Beard or no beard!

Our Birthday Boy!

Our baby turned two today! I can't believe two years has gone by. He has really grown up and I can't imagine life without him. He brings our family so much joy and is a lot of fun. He can be a little stinker at times, but so stinkin' cute that it doesn't matter. He wants to do whatever the big kids are doing and hates to be left out. He is really into playing with trucks and hooks them all together and puts things inside and is very particular about what goes where. He is really growing up and getting so big. We love you Cal!

2009 Primary Program

Today was Jane's Primary Program and I forgot to take her picture this morning before church. She looked adorable (I might be a little prejudice). She had to wear white for the program, which was cute to see all the kids in white saying their parts and singing their little hearts out. It was so good. Jane did really good, but you couldn't see her over the microphone when she said her part, but she did great anyway. She has been practicing her part for weeks and was excited, but nervous to do it. I had to miss out on seeing her from the audience, instead I had to sit at the top with the big kids and keep them in line and help them all remember whose turn it was. BUMMER!

It was funny, cause when we got home I told Ike that next year he gets to say a part in the a microphone. His reply was, "Like this, My family is ordained of God and central to his plan." (Jane's part today). Adam and I had to laugh.

I got a new calling today as well. I am so excited about it and hope I do a good job. I am going to be the 1st counselor in the Primary, so next year I will be the one stressing out writing the program. Good luck to me. It will be fun and exciting. I was the primary secretary when Adam and I first moved in to the ward, and loved it so I think I will really enjoy this calling. I love the primary and think the kids are great. They have such a special spirit about each one of them and it's a blessing to be able to work with them. So I am excited, a little nervous, okay a lot nervous, but excited.

The mind of a 3 year old boy..........

Me- How was preschool today?

Ike-Mom, wanna see in my backpack?

Me-Love too.

Ike-I wanna be a dad who cooks pancakes (as he pulls out a picture of a boy, who is a rainbow of colors, on the bottom, which the teacher wrote..

When I grow up, I want to be a/n: dad who cooks pancakes.

I love this boy!

The Zoo in the Fall

The weather has been awesome and so we called Katie Tuesday afternoon and headed to the zoo. It couldn't have been better. It wasn't very crowded at all and the weather was perfect. It was so much fun, because a lot of new baby animals have been born since we've been there. The kids had a great time together. I love hanging out with Katie, she is always so much fun and her girls are darling. Thanks for coming with us!

I forgot my camera, so thanks to Katie, she took all the darling pictures. This was our favorite. The new baby Elephant, Zurie. It was trying to pick up apples with her trunk. The mom was going crazy and just getting the apples like 3 at a time. The baby couldn't get any and was trying to get them out of the mom's mouth with her trunk. It was so cute. We loved it.

The Silly Kids!

Look at my monkeys!

How can we not go to the zoo and ride the train. It was a great afternoon!
Good idea Jane! (that is what Jane said when we got in the car to go home).

Halloween 2009

We had so much fun at Halloween this year. We had 3 days full of Halloween fun. We had a monkey, Jane, Woody #1, Ike, and Woody #2, Cal and.....

a bum!
Adam had a Halloween party for YM, I didn't know about it. He went downstairs and came up in this attire. I asked where he got it all, he had it already and still wears it. My poor husband.

Ike was very particular about his Woody costume. I thought he just wanted to be a cowboy, no it was cowboy Woody. He had to have the cow print vest, the gun holster, the belt, boots, hat, and cowboy shirt. He wore the outfit straight for three 3 days. He was darling!

Our little monkey! Jane was so excited to be a monkey. She had a parade at her school and got to show off how cute she was. I got to help in her class with her party and it was so much fun.

Happy Halloweeeeeeeeeeeeeen!

My little cowboy, Woody!

Calin was going to be a giraffe, but he wanted to wear his boots and hat. At the last minute I had to make him a cowboy vest too. He let us make him a mustache, like dad, and he rode bulls-eye.

Look at that mug, how can you not love it!

This horse was adorable. He loved it and knew he was cute. He loved everyone making a big deal out of how cute he was!

On Halloween night we had a trunk or treat at our ward and then headed up to Grandpa and Grandma's O's house. We had a great dinner and got to see all our family. It was so much fun. It made me miss my family and wishing we lived closer to them.

They were a little tired and done with pictures, but I did get a few with Grandma and Grandpa.

My niece Chloe was spider girl and was really in to it. She is quite the character. She has such a cute personality and is so much fun. I couldn't resist a picture with her.

It's always fun to see Zach at Grandma and Grandpa's. Joe was there too, but I didn't get his picture with the kids. This was Ike showing off Cal's costume. Now that Halloween is over I am sad that I didn't get a picture of our family together. How do I always do that. We had a great Halloween and how you all did too! We look forward to next year. It always amazes me at the costumes that people come up with! Creative people out there!
