Kindergarten Assessment Day

On Friday, I got to take Jane in to meet her teacher and she had her assessment. I have been talking to her about it and trying to refresh her memory on the things she learned from preschool. Thanks to Ms. Shawna's preschool and all Jane learned there, she did awesome. I was so proud of her. She was a little timid and shy, but she told Miss. Spencer all she new. It was darling. I am so proud of her and she was so proud of herself. It's amazing how much they learn. I've been working with her on things, but I am not the most patient parent with her and it made me realize that I need to take more time with her to teach her. She really likes to learn and is really anxious to learn how to read. I think her teacher is going to be good. I was a little nervous about it, because they sent out a letter with her teacher being Mrs. Williams, who quit a week before school started. Miss. Spencer is from LA and this is her 2nd year of teaching and wasn't the most personable, but soon warmed up to Jane and was really good with her. I hope it works out all right. Jane is so stinkin' excited for school, most of all to wear her new shoes. I love it! Can't wait for school to start on Thursday!

We are so excited for Jane. She will do great in school! Since she doesn't start until Thursday, we ought to hang out sometime this week.
