Do you wanna bulid a snowman?

Waylon has been dying to build a snowman.  He heard that Grandma Shelton got snow at her house and wanted me to take him that day to her house in Wyoming to build a snowman.  Finally it snowed, just enough to build a snowman.  We were up early and out building this awesome dirt ball snowman!!!

Happy 7th Birthday Calin!

This big guy turned 7 years old today!  I seriously can't believe it.  He is such a fun loving boy and makes our family so much fun.  We love his imagination, his courage, and his humor!  He is a blessing in our lives.  He had such a hard time deciding what he wanted to do for his party, but we finally decided to do Legos, because that is his love right now.  He has lots and lots of legos, so we went with that!  The cake was a flop, so we went with easy and cute!

 Some of the decorations!

It's so fun being close to Adam's family.  We sure miss my family.  Calin was sad that my parents and cousins weren't able to come.  I have the best family that always remembers my kids birthday and are so good to send gifts and lots of love!  We even get one from Grandma Great Shelton!

Jane gave Calin a few things to start his survival kit so he can go hunting with the kids.  He used his lighter to light his candles!  Jane wrote Calin the sweetest note ever and read it to him.  She got so emotional, as did I, that Dad had to finish reading it!
Ike made Calin an awesome pirate ship and Man Cave door sign out of popsicle sticks.  He also wrote him a sweet card!  Calin has the best siblings ever!

 Blowing out the candles!

 The DeSpains!

Grandma O and Calin (Grandpa O is hunting)

Uncle Joe and Brooklyn.  They made Calin the cutest blanket!  It was like an Aztec print and then his favorite on the back, minky!

Uncle Zach!  Calin absolutely loves and adores all his uncles.  He and Zach have a super special bond!

We love you Calin!  Thanks for being so awesome!

Calin got lots of legos for his birthday and we are so glad he has Ike to help him put them together!

No Tears

This is a huge day for this big guy today.  He has cried every single day that I take him to preschool and drop him off.  He doesn't just whimper, it's a full on screaming cry, usually saying that he is going to throw up.  The preschool teacher has to take him from me as he is hanging on me.  On Tuesday he cried, and as soon as he got in the van he said, "Mom, don't tell dad that I cried at my preschool today." Mom: Why? Waylon: "Because he will be mad at me." I got it on video and showed it to Adam.  Adam has never been mad at Waylon for crying, so we don't know why he said that, but it was funny.  So on Thursday I took him to school and he was a little nervous, but he didn't cry.  He talked to the teachers and then sat down and told me Bye!  I was SOOOO excited!  When he got home he finally got his batman shirt with a cape on the back!  It's been hanging where he could see if for about 2 months!  He was so excited.  Let's hope he keeps up with the no tears!

Reflections 2014

I have been trying to get Jane to do reflections for awhile.  She finally did and got an award!  She really wanted the trophy so she could compete with the other schools, but she was pretty proud to get this awesome medal with her name on it.  Way to go Jane!

She wore the medal all day at school!  She was super embarrassed that I was taking so many pictures of her at the school!

This is her cute project.  The theme this year was, "The world would be a better place if...."  she came up with this awesome quote about gratitude being like a present.  She made this awesome box out of wood, painted it and put a bow on it to look like a present.  The she wrote Thank You on the box in all different languages.  She did so awesome and was super proud!

Birthday Table Lunch

I got to spend lunch with Calin today.  At school they have a birthday table every month to celebrate the kids birthday's and a prize table.  Calin was so excited for me to come.  He was very specific on what he wanted for lunch.  A yummy subway sandwich with all the fixings!  He ate the entire sandwich and then headed out to play on the playground.  I am so lucky to have this cute boy in my life.  He is so full of fun and such a character.  He just melts my heart daily.  We can't wait to celebrate his big  7th birthday this coming week.  I am so blessed to be able to stay home with my four amazing kids and share these fun moments with them!  Love you Calin!

Leader of the week

Jane was selected by her teacher to be the leader of the week.  She was chosen because she did a great job on her History Report.  We got to go to a little ceremony before school where she was awarded a certificate and got a prize!  We are so proud of our little leader.  She is such a great example to us all!

She was super proud as was her mom and dad!

Dad even got to sneak away from work to come.
Good job Jane!

Happy Halloween

Halloween was so much fun this year!  Waylon was loving it, finally!  Last year he wouldn't put his costume on, this year he was more than excited to be BATMAN!

 Ike was a baseball player!

Jane wanted to be Jack Sparrow!  Her teacher was Jack Sparrow too, she was a much much cuter Jack Sparrow!

Our Knight!  Cal is all about the weapons for his costume.  I think he picks his costume around which weapon he can get to go with it.

We went down to Katie's house to trick or treat with them.  They have the best neighborhood to go to!  The kids love being able to go with their cousins!
Happy Halloween!
