Grandpa Ike and Grandma Carol

Adam's grandpa Ike makes all kinds of things with leather. As I said, Ike wanted to make a cover for his new ax so we had FHE at Grandpa Ike's to make it. The kids all got to stamp leather and each came home with a treasure. We love Grandpa Ike!

Another One of Grandpa's Big Hunt

Grandpa O just got home from another hunting adventure. We of course had to go see the prize animal and the kids got talked in to eating the sheep ribs! They were really tough so it was funny to see them trying to eat it and chewing on it forever. Jane ate an entire rib, with a little bribery and Cal just enjoyed it cause he could! Love these pictures. (thanks amy)

Grandpa O brought Ike home his very own Ax. Once again, I know a little dangerous, but what can I say. He is all boy and loves it. He has been super careful with it and wanted to go right up to Great Grandpa Ike's to make a cover for it so it would be more safe!

Good Job Grandpa O! Our mighty hunter! (just glad that's not going in my house this time)

Jane's First Day of First Grade!

I know everybody says it, "BUT I CAN'T BELIEVE SHE'S IN 1ST GRADE!" She was excited to start school today and looked adorable (as you can see)!

I put the pictures in wrong, but here she is at school waiting to go in. This is her teacher, Mrs. Dejany. Jane actually has two teachers who are doing a shared teaching this year. I am hoping it works out great. She was so worried about being the smallest first grader. I can't believe we are already having to worry about that. She has come home in tears a few times because kids are mean to her cause she's so little. Poor thing.

Thanks to grandma O she got a darling new backpack to start 1st grade!

Darling Girl!

She'll be missed today and many more to come. We love having her as a big helper at home, but looking forward to her learning and growing! Love you Jane!

Girls Weekend!

This past weekend my mom to all the girls in the family to St. George to enjoy the "HOT" weather, Tarzan, and each others company. We had so much fun. Thanks so much mom. We ate good, laughed a lot, and really had a fun time together.

Three of the four little fishes!
(Natalee, Haylee, and Jane)

Ashlee and Grandma Shelton swimming. It was so hot you had to get in the water to be able to stay outside. We all got some good sun!

My cute sis in-law Shunae who has finally moved back from CA! We are so excited and happy to have her, Trav, and Jada in Utah! By the way, can you believe this girl is almost 6 months prego! She is having a girl 3 weeks before me on December 24th! She is amazing and such a sweetheart.
Close up and Nae and I!

We left Bonnie and the little girls enjoying the pool while the rest of us went and got manicures and Pedicures! Thanks Bonnie!

Getting Beautiful!

Ashlee, Grandma, Jane, and Haylee!

Bonnie and her girls!

Shunae, Brittany, and I

Me and Jane

Do you think we look alike? We were told all the time how much we look alike!

The Gang!

We got to go to Tarzan and had the best seats ever. It was so much fun! Everyone really enjoyed it!

The real reason we sent to Tarzan! Look at the bod :)

Ignore the slightly blurry picture. This was the small Tarzan, a 10 year old boy. He was amazing!

Looking forward to next years fun! I think they are playing Greece, Wizard of Oz, and The Little Mermaid! Going to have to get tickets to all three. It was so much fun! Thanks Girls!

Ike can ride a Bike!

I'm so proud of this guy! He has finally learned how to ride a two- wheeler. He didn't really want to do it at all, but then all his little friends (all girls) started too and thought he'd try. It was so funny, because he had it from the beginning, but would give up so easy. He had a million excuses as to why he didn't want to do it. Then one day he just took off and got it. I was amazed and so was he. The only problem is that he can't start on his own, the bike is a big bike and he can't touch the ground, but he has got how to do it. I'm so glad!

Cal chasing after him and can't wait to get his own bike! Way to go Ike! We love you and are so proud of you!

Alpine Days Rodeo

(Ike, Gavin, and Jane)
My cute neighbor told me about this fun Alpine Days rodeo. It's all for kids. Jane, Ike and Cal have all really wanted a chance to ride a sheep at a rodeo this year, but we just haven't made it to any rodeo's to do it. This was our chance. I ran up to Alpine the next day to sign them up and of course, it was full. I signed them up to chase a pig and thought we'll go and maybe someone won't show up and the kids can have a chance to ride the sheep. It worked! We got there and they let me sign them up to ride. After seeing the sheep I thought Cal was still a little small to hang on, so he'll have to wait for next year. The kids were so excited.

The rodeo started and Jane, Ike, and Gavin (the cute neighbor) were the very first up. Which might have been a good thing. They didn't see anyone else do it so they didn't really know what they were in for! Here they are getting ready.
(I only have pictures, because once again my cute neighbor was there snapping away for us!)

Very first up, Jane Olson! She wasn't even a bit scared. She jumped right one and held on! The funny thing is she had a bum sheep. It would run for a minute and then stop and look around. Jane just hung on! She stayed on the full time! It was darling!

At the end she sat up and the bike helmet was over her face. It was so funny. She went to fix it and I was thinking, please sheep don't take off running now :)
One proud Cowgirl! I new she'd do good. She was determined to stay one and win! She was hoping for money or a belt buckle or something really neat, instead she won a gift card for $5 to IFA, which had nothing and I ended up spending more money for some dumb toy! At least she was a winner!

Cowboy Ike! Dad giving Ike the pep talk to just hold on tight. He wasn't scared a bit and jumped right on as well. Only went they brought his sheep out they had it in a head lock trying to calm it down. I have to say, I was a little nervous.

Hold on tight!

It took about 2 seconds and he was off. He got stepped on and he was a little sad. He still won a prize though! He was a little bummed he didn't stay on the entire time and the next day had a huge bruise on the inside of his thigh! What a true cowboy!

Waiting to catch the chicken's and pigs! Enjoying the other kids falling off the sheep!

O.....how if love those cute little wrangler butts!

The chicken and pig chase was entertaining. There were a bizillion kids, and ours didn't get a chicken, but Cal did get a pig until some cowgirl chick mom ripped it away. It was still fun and the kids had the time of their lives. We are looking forward to Alpine Days Rodeo next year. It was so fun and the area is way up in Alpine in the prettiest scenery. Thanks Ash and Rob for the idea and pictures!
YEE-HAW!
