Swim, Swim, Swim

(this is when we first got there and he wasn't to sure about the dumping thing. After this is was all smiles and all over the pool)

I can't wait for it to be Spring. We are getting so bored around our house. We decided to go swimming one afternoon and that was a blast. The kids loved it. They had so much fun. They love their goggles. The entire time Cal would say, "where my goggle?"

This one is so determined to swim. She spent the whole time trying to float on her back. She is getting pretty good. She loved it.

He's such a fish, as long as we don't go near the deep water. He loved playing in the water. I loved it too. The water was so warm and no one was there and they turned the dump thing off for awhile at the Lehi pool which the kids really enjoyed. They could play all over the thing without getting splashed. It was a way fun afternoon!

Cablea's Preschool Fieldtrip

We got to go on a tour of Cabela's with Ike's preschool class. It was so lame. I think I could have done a better job of the tour then the girl did. The kids like it though. I was a little disappointed, but what do you do. I wanted them to feed the fish and all those fun things. We did get to shoot the guns at the shooting range, but that was about it. Here are a few pictures of the big day :)

Isn't he darling!

Zoe, Ike and Cal
Ike and Zoe are darling together. They are the best of buds and really enjoy playing together. It's been so fun having a close neighbor and friend!

STAR student of the week!

My little Star of the week. Jane got to be the star of the week at school last week. We got to make a poster all about her with pictures and things she loves. It was so much fun. Then I got to go to her kindergarten class and tell about my little sweetheart and then read one of her favorite books to the class. Of course she wanted a book that the boys and girls would love, so she picked That's Not Fair, Hare. The kids loved it and Jane loved helping me tell about her poster. It was so darling. I love my little star!

Classic Skating Fun!

Jane didn't have school on Friday so we decided to do something fun. Adam and Ike went out of town for the weekend, so Jane, Cal and I headed to Classic Skating with our neighbor friends. It was quite the experience. We hadn't ever been there before and we had tons of fun. We played arcade games, rode scooters, and played on all the bouncy toys. A great way to spend our day of no school!

Love that smile!

Mt. Everest slide.

The Binky is History!

Well...I did it. I finally got rid of Calin's binky. I really didn'y know how or when I was going to do it, but the dentist helped me out with that. I took my kids to the dentist yesterday and they all did super good. When the dentist looked at Cal, he said that I needed to get rid of his binky soon. He said that not just his teeth are deforming, but his entire top jaw is all deformed and if I got rid of it now, he had a chance of his jaw going back to normal. He did tell me that orthodontics would fix the problem when he got older, but it would be lots of money and lots of trips to the dentist. I decided the $3 binky was worth getting rid of.
So, last night was the first night. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. He whined for it and cried for it, but he gave up after awhile. He only woke up once in the early morning for it, and it took about 20 minutes and then he was back to sleep until 8:30 am. When he woke up he was very grouchy, but he snapped out of it. We praised him and now we are off to get him a PRIZE! I am hoping today and tonight go just as good. I heard the first night is the worst. We'll see! YAY CAL!

Side note: Ike had 0 cavities and Jane had 2. She was so sad and cried about it. She couldn't believe she had a cavity. Sweet thing!

Sew. Sew. Sew.

Jane has just started learning how to sew and absolutely loves it. She has made many pillows and blankets. She made her brother Cal a blanket and her new cousin, Sawyer a blanket. She is doing such a great job. She has such determination and really sticks with something when she starts it. It takes her a good couple of hours for a project. She does such a great job. She hasn't gotten the cutting out mastered yet, but she can sew straight and does such a great job.

This is the blanket she made Sawyer, she picked out the fabric and did all the sewing. I did help her on the binding, but she sewed the lines down the fabric.

Finish project and very proud. Good Job Jane!

Some People and their pets....

Last weekend Adam and I went to a seminar about horses. Their were some REALLY interesting people there. It was actually really fun, it was great to spend some time with Adam. Thanks to Grandma O who had are kids all day. Anyway, There were so many people with dogs there, but this had to be the best. A lady, who was quite funny herself, carrying her firearm on her hip, had this goose on a leash in a stroller pushing it all around. It was hilarious! Thought I'd share!
