Labor Day Weekend

We spent Labor Day weekend in Colorado at what we call, THE MUDDY. We left really early in the morning, because it takes about 7-8 hours to get there. We took two trucks, packed full. Adam's parents went, Amy and Aaron, and Katie and her 2 girls. We all had such a fun time. The kids were such troopers in the truck, it was a long ride.

Ike, Jane, Cal, Me, Chloe, Amy, and Sadie enjoyin' the great outdoors.

It was fun to have Grandpa Ike come up to join in the fun.

Jane brought her supplies to paint nails. Everyone got the chance to have Jane paint their nails a variety colors and styles. I'd have to say they were all really good sports about it. I think Sadie was the most frequent customer. I couldn't believe she'd hold still long enough for Jane to paint her nails. It was darling.

One of the favorite things to do at The Muddy is drive the mule. All the kids got plenty of turns to drive and ride. Notice the dog, Nelly in the picture sitting in the front. The mule couldn't go anywhere without the dog going along, right up front. It was funny, cause by the end we were trying to sneak away without the dog noticing and running and piling in as fast as we could so the dog couldn't get it. It didn't work to well. It was fun!

Ike keeping himself busy playing in the dirt.

Adam doing what he does best, WORKING!

Sadie, Grandma O, and Jane

Adam is such a great dad! He pretty much entertains the kids while I read a book and nap. I love it. He took the kids out on a nature walk to find walking sticks. He then carved their names in them for them. Cal used his as a horse most the time.

Jane and Chloe at the shooting range, waiting their turn to shoot.

What cuties!

Jane was pretty proud to be shooting by herself. She is really good. She takes her time to find the target and shoot. She can't wait to go hunting with her dad.

Ike has the fastest trigger finger. He was so funny. He would find the target and just let loose. He is pretty dang good. They loved it.

We had s'mores.

Me and my baby!

Adam and I have an on going game of hand and foot with grandpa Ike and grandma carol. Just for the record, Carol and I won big time!!!

The Olson Clan!

One of my favorite things to do at the Muddy is ride horses. Adam got these little stirrups for the kids that they could fit in perfectly. They had so much fun riding the horses. Ike and Jane got really confident and got to ride all alone on their own horse (Adam was towing them).

This is Adam's horse, Linda. The boys loved ridin' her.

Cal gets so excited when he gets to ride the horses. I love when he does his wave. He is so dang cute. It was cute to see the boys ride together. I love my boys.

There is always a project at the Muddy. The kids had so much fun riding in the bucket. You can't see, but Cal is helping Grandpa drive. He could hear that fire up and he was on a dead run to be right there in it. It was so cute. The kids love the Muddy and it has been so fun creating such fun memories there. We all have so much fun and it was way fun to have Katie and her girls there and Amy and Aaron. We love you guys. Thanks for the good time Grandma and Grandpa!
