7 Fish and lots of Fun!

Grandpa & Grandma O and Joe took the kids fishing up American Fork Canyon to Silver Lake. Katie and I got to come along as well to help out with the little ones. We had such a great time and couldn't have asked for a better day. The view was beautiful and the fish were biting! The kids were lovin' it! Thanks so much!

Jane and Ike were so excited to go. We went in the afternoon so it was a day full of, is it time to go yet? They were both quite the fishermen. The funny story of this one is that Jane was the first one to get her pole and have grandpa show her what to do and she was really intent on just sitting there and was being really patient. She had to go get something and asked Ike to hold her pole. Ike was so excited. This is him giving me thumbs up! A few minutes later, Ike caught the first fish, off of Jane's pole! It was funny.

Grandpa, Jane, and Chloe.

Waiting for the fish to bite. I have to admit, I didn't think we would catch any fish. Much to my surprise though, we caught 7 in all. The kids each got one.

The gang.

Ike's first catch. He was so excited to get a fish! He wasn't a huge fan of the fish out of the water. But the first few pictures he was alright at a distance.

Ike's big catch.

Not soon after Ike got a fish, Chloe caught one and then Jane. Jane was super brave and held up the fish for pictures. She really liked to fish. She stayed with it the entire time we were there. Ike and Chloe lost interest after they caught their first fish, but were really good just to hang out and play on the rocks.

My little fisher-girl!

Jane was so excited!

Jane's fish. She even got to where she would reel them in all by herself. She was so proud. It was so fun.

Cal and I even caught a fish! He loved it. He wanted to touch the fish, until it started flopin' around and got water in his eye.

Grandpa O and his little buddy!

Jane and Uncle Joe!

These are all the fish we caught. It was a success!

By the end of the night, Ike had a break down and didn't want any more pictures with the fish. I made him get in this picture. He didn't want to get to close to the fish. It was kinda funny that Jane wanted to hold the fish and Ike wanted nothing to do with the fish.

Cal lovin' it. Right before I took this picture Cal was trying to kiss the fish.

All of us, but grandma O, she is taking the picture.

Ike finally took a decent picture with the fish and grandpa O.

Me and my boys and Grandpa O.

Jane wanted a picture of the two fish she caught on her own.

Jane even wanted to see how grandpa gut the fish.
GROSS!

Adam didn't get to come up with us, but he came up to see the loot that night. Jane was so proud of her catch!

Ike fell asleep on the way home and he never did wake up in the transfer from carseat. He slept good that night. Thanks so much for the fun time Grandpa. Let's do that again soon!

We love horses!

Now that the weather has started to warm up we have really enjoyed being outside. We have really wanted to start riding our horses and the kids have been wanting to go as well. Adam is such a good sport. He saddled, Shilo, and walked the kids all around the yard, a million times.

The kids loved it. Ike and Cal had to wear their boots and they were all really brave. My kids have always loved animals and have never been afraid. Sometime they get a little to brave around the animals.

The boys had so fun. Cal loved it and didn't want to get off. He wanted to do it all by himself, he kept pushing my hands off of him and wanted Adam to be by his side. Ike, on the other hand, had to be bribed by grandma O to come outside and ride. She made the deal that if he came outside to ride the horses he could stay at her house for a long time. He has loved staying at grandma's to play with all the cars. He has a little routine there and hoards all the little cars and trailers. He will play for hours. The funny thing is when it was time to go, Ike had the deal as that he got to stay at grandma's for All the time. Let's just say there was a fit leaving grandma's that night!

Ike, our little cowboy! Don't you love his outfit, boots, basketball shorts, and cowboy hat. Gotta love it!

Cal was in heaven. He loved it. He loved wearing his boots, so red they are almost pink. Yes, they were Jane's at one time.

Cal and grandma O with Bella! Ike claims Bella is his horse.

Jane on Shilo. Jane was so excited when grandpa O told her he had the perfect horse for her ride. She was a little nervous in the beginning and said that he was pretty big, but by the end she was loving it.

Happy 4th Birthday Chloe!

This is one of my favorite pictures of Chloe. I think it is so funny when she winks at me. Love her!

Today is Chloe's birthday! She turned 4 today! She is the cutest little thing with such a cute personality. She says the funniest things and has such an imagination. It is always fun with Chloe! She had a big carnival party on Saturday. It was so much fun. Katie and Chad really out did themselves. They had a tent, treats, barbecue, and all. The kids loved it and so did we. Thanks for having a great party! We love you Chloe!

Where did that come from?

Me and Ike's conversation while he was taking a bath with Jane and Cal....

Ike: Mom, where do Cal come from?
Jane: out of mom's belly...
Me: From Heavenly Father
Ike: How Cal fit in there?
Me: Well...babies are so tiny when they are born, remember when Cal was just little, and then they grow to be bigger. So when they are tiny they can fit in my tummy
Ike: Can Heaven Father have Cal back?
Me: Why?
Ike: cause Cal mean to me and hit me, I don't want no more babies......

I had to laugh. Cal is getting to be so big and thinks everything is his and throws fits when he doesn't get it. Ike has been so good to share with him, but he's got to be sick of it, already...Sorry buddy, Cal has to stay, maybe we could work on the sharing thing with Cal and not give him everything he wants all the time...we'll try!

I love that boy!

Preschool Graduation

Jane and Ms. Shawna

Today was Jane's preschool graduation. She was so excited for her program, but was so sad that preschool is over. She had such a great time in preschool. She has learned so much and has really grown as a person. She has made lots of friends and will really miss preschool. She is excited to start the new adventure of kindergarten, but wants to take swim lessons first. She is so funny. She did really well at her program, but was really shy and acted embarrassed that I was taping it and everyone was watching her. She is doesn't really like to be in the spotlight, but did a great job. I am so proud of her!

Jane was so excited to give Ms. Shawna a present. She came up with this idea on her own. She painted a pot and then planted a flower in it. She was so proud of it.

Ike took this picture, not to bad.

Thanks Katie and Amy for coming to support Jane. She was so happy to see you there.

Mud Bath!

So this is what happened while I was trying to plant flowers. The kids filled my flowerbed with water, which turned to mud and then decided to cover themselves in it. The bad thing about it was that I had to spray them off with a freezing cold hose, before I could let them in.

Thinkin' it's great fun!

Look at me mom!

Busy, Busy, Busy!

How could I get mad at this? I love my kids and all the trouble they get in to! What would my life be without them, BORING!

Canyon Hike

Jane has been so excited for this final fieldtrip. We got to go up American Fork Canyon for a little nature hike. It was so much fun. The kids made binoculars out of toilet paper rolls, but the night before Adam stayed up late with Jane making her some really cool ones out pipe and tape. They were deluxe and they didn't fall apart like the other kids. Thanks dad!

Jane and her really good friend, Trevor.

Jane and the boys. As usual. Her teacher even said that at school, the girls are to boring for Jane, she is always hangin' out with the boys!

The new binoculars!

Me and my girl! It was such a fun day with her. The boys stayed with grandma O this time. Thanks grandma. It was a fun day with Jane!
