We knew there was probably going to be an accident on the fort. I just didn't expect it to be so soon. This little trooper fell off the fort down the fireman's pole. He was out there cleaning up the fort and somehow fell down the fireman's pole. He hit his head and got a huge bump. I ran him over to the doctor's office and they did say that he did have a concussion and to watch him. That night he threw up and complained of a lot of pain. I woke him up every two hours that night. The next day he still didn't feel that great and was acting a little spacey and just not himself. We took him up to Primary Children's Hospital to have him checked out one more time. He got a cat scan and saw 3 different doctors. He did get a skull fracture, but there was no fluid and no bleeding, just a really bad bump. He is now restricted to 2 feet on the ground for the next 6 weeks to make sure that his head can heal and no more bumps on the head. I feel so bad for him. He loves the fort and it's been so hard to keep him calm and not let him do all the fun summer activities. He is trying to be a good sport, but it's hard. We have boarded up the fireman's pole so that no one else will get hurt. Sorry little Ike. We are so glad you are feeling better! Love you BIG IKE!
