The Muddy Trip

We spent Labor Day weekend in Colorado at "The Muddy." It was just us and Grandpa O. We had such a fun time. The kids got to do whatever they wanted and had a ball.

The kids loved shooting 22 guns. They were always safe with them and had so much fun. They are all really good shots too! They set up targets and had a ball. They really wanted to get a chipmunk.

The machete is back. Cal carried this sword around all weekend. He was so excited to have it. Had had many sword fights with the bushes and weeds.

Waylon was such a trooper as usual. We just hung out and slept and relaxed. It was so much fun.

Grandpa O and Adam took Jane and Ike on a 4 hour horse back ride. It was really the first time that Jane and Ike have ridden the horses all by themselves. They did such a great job. They even got to carve their names in the tree.

Is this just the cutest thing! They did awesome and so did the horses:)

The double seater in use!

Hunting a chipmunk!

Jane got stung by something and her lip got huge. It was so sad. A little benedryl and ice for about an hour and it finally went down.

Waylon loved his nightly tubs in the cook house sink!

Adam and I got to sneak away one morning for a little ride. It was great. I haven't been on a horse for years.

Driving the mule is always a big hit!

Cal got to ride the horses too!

Adam carved the boys some pirate ships out of wood and they had a blast racing them in the ditch!

We love the great outdoors!

The muddy looks like a blast. That is a fun Olson tradition. Your family is so cute. That pic of Jane with the stung lip looks so sad. Poor girl. And Adam's beard should win some kind of reward! :)

I love all of your updates and cute pictures. It is so nice to see what you have been up to. I am glad your kids are enjoying school, I loved the post of Cal on his first day. So excited that Waylon is crawling, yay for him! Way to go Jane on the violin, that is impressive. It looks like Ike was in heaven at the Muddy. So fun, cute family.
